"NEVER DOUBT THAT A SMALL GROUP OF THOUGHTFUL, COMMITTED, CITIZENS CAN CHANGE THE WORLD. INDEED, IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT EVER HAS." - MARGARET MEAD

CARLY GRECO, MSW, RSW

Hi, Iā€™m Carly!

I am so glad that you are taking this step for yourself, and I hope that this page offers a sense of what it looks like to begin this journey with me as your co-explorer.

I am a Registered Social Worker and am deeply informed by my feminist and social justice values. I will work with you to co-create a space where you can explore your story, experiences, values, and goals with openness and curiosity. While working with me you can expect a space in which you set the agenda, and I offer curiosity, perspective, tools, and challenge to support your journey. I draw on training in Narrative therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and incorporate feminist and social justice principles. I have particular interest and experience in perinatal mental health, and in grief and bereavement. I have experience and have been honoured to work with 2SLGBTQ+ individuals and partnerships through fertility, pregnancy, birth, parenting, and grieving experiences.

I am a cis-gender woman and settler with roots in northern Ontario, and I believe strongly in the power that relationships, connection, and community play in our wellbeing. I began my career in community organizing and I have held past roles in therapy and counselling, system navigation, and advocacy in public and nonprofit settings. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University, and Bachelor of Humanities and Master of Arts degrees from Carleton University. I hold additional certification in death, dying, and bereavement, and training in perinatal mental health and psychotherapy.

Outside of working with clients, you can often find me trying a new bake, lifting weights, or lost in a good book. I am a member of the Board of Directors at Emmanuel at Brighton Child Care Centre, and am a member of the National Abortion Federation.
