Hi, I’m Emily!

I know the courage it takes to seek support and work towards enriching our lives. Hopefully through doing this soul work, you will experience increased purpose, joy and self-acceptance.

I have spent nearly two decades working with children, youth and adults in a variety of settings and environments.

My worldview includes curiosity, wonder, integrity, depth, humour, awareness of interconnection and awe at the preciousness of being alive. My worldview is based in gratitude and my belief in the resilience of the human spirit. I weave different therapeutic approaches into my work, and am responsive to what is arising and attuned to what is most meaningful in the moment.

I am a climate aware therapist incorporating environmental context into my work to support people around feelings of grief and anxiety related to the current climate context. I believe that our bodies hold much wisdom. I am a trained yoga and meditation instructor, and can incorporate somatic and trauma informed yoga practices into sessions. As an expressive arts therapist, I believe in the power of art for self-reflection and personal growth.

It is such an honour to walk alongside people through fears, hurts, challenges, and difficulties.  Connecting with people during times of immense delight and awakening is also such a privilege.  My hope is that in working with me, people feel accepted and encouraged to grow in meaningful and new ways to experience healing and restoration. I base my approach on the specific goals and strengths of those who work with me, treating everyone with dignity and respect.
