“OUR WOUNDS ARE OFTEN THE OPENINGS INTO THE BEST AND MOST BEAUTIFUL PART OF US.” – DAVID RICHO

JULIA DUZ, PSYCHOTHERAPIST (QUALIFYING)

Hi, I’m Julia! (She/Her).

Thank you for taking the time to read my bio and considering me as your therapist. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and the relationship we build together will be essential in your healing process, so I invite you to get to know me better to see if I am the right fit for you.

With over six years of experience in the non-profit sector, I have provided individual support to children, youth, adults, and seniors who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Alongside grief and loss, I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harming behaviors, suicidal ideation, body image issues, as well as matters related to self-esteem, gender identity, and sexuality.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in a client-centered philosophy, placing you at the heart of our work together. I believe in honoring your unique experiences, strengths, and values, and using narrative therapy, we will collaboratively explore the stories you tell about yourself and your experiences. In our sessions, we will uncover the underlying themes and meanings in your life's narrative, helping you gain insights into your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Together, we will create a safe and supportive space where you can freely express yourself and explore new perspectives and possibilities for growth and healing. I value ongoing feedback and believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust and respect. Throughout our journey, I will regularly check in with you to ensure our work aligns with your goals and aspirations.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me, I look forward to doing the same.
