“HAPPINESS CAN BE FOUND EVEN IN THE DARKEST OF TIMES, IF ONE ONLY REMEMBERS TO TURN ON THE LIGHT” - ALBUS DUMBLEDORE

PAIGE OBERFELDS, MSW, RSW

Hi, I’m Paige!

I know that finding a therapist who is a good fit for you is one of the most important steps of beginning this journey. I believe in exploring life and everything in it with an essence of compassion, creativity, and curiosity. My relationships are based in authenticity, safety, and collaboration which provides the foundation for my practice. I believe that you are the expert in your own journey and that we are all hardwired for healing and connection. I aim to bring these qualities into our work together in order for you to show up as you are and uncover your innate wellness.

I’m a Registered Social Worker living and working in the province of Ontario. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Family Relations and Human Development from the University of Guelph and a Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.

As a therapist, I always work from a trauma-informed, non-judgmental, and anti-oppressive framework. A large part of my practice is drawn from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I also regularly draw from other modalities (such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy) and enjoy incorporating creativity into sessions. I appreciate the importance of mind-body connection and use somatic focused approaches in my work. I work with individuals (16+) who may be experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, who are struggling with feeling stuck, or who would like to explore their authentic self with a sense of compassion, curiosity, and safety. I have experience working with a variety of diagnoses and emotional challenges, including trauma, relationship dynamics, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey and offer you a hand to develop the confidence and skills to navigate the ebbs and flows of life.

As a human, you can most often find me in nature with my rescue pups, obsessing over a new-to-me coffee, or lifting heavy-for-me weights at the gym. I’m passionate about our connection to this planet and am constantly adding new countries to my travel bucket list.
